Opinion : Asim Riaz allegedly Judged Shehnaaz Gill For moving on, People call him ‘Sick’

Sidnazz fans lashed Out On Asim For Allegedly Judging Shehnaz Gill for Moving on! Why are always women targeted for their choices

Past two years were extremely tough for all of us. Many people lost their loved ones who have left a void behind. But the truth is that we all have to move on. In the year 2021, many celebrated actors passed away and one of them was Sidharth Shukla. The untimely demise of Sidharth left his fans and family heartbroken. Shehnaaz Gill was reportedly dating the late actor and she was very close to him. After his demise, Shehnaaz distanced herself from social media. Recently, she attended the engagement of her manager and the video went viral. The actor can be seen enjoying and having fun. To which, Asim Riaz took a dig and said people get over so soon! Kya Baat

Soon after his comment, Shehnaaz’s fans called him sick and lashed at him for judging Shehnaaz Gill. After a really long time, people saw Shehnaaz Gill dancing and enjoying a friend’s wedding. At the same time, Bigg Boss 13 runner up Asim Riaz posted a cryptic tweet that reads:

Just saw a few dancing clips, seriously people get over loved ones so soon. Kya Baat, Kya Baat. #NewWorld. However, Asim had not tagged anyone in this post, but Sidnaaz fans are alleging Riaz for taunting Shehnaaz and calling him out for his toxic mind frame with hashtags- Shame on Asim Riaz.

Well, Asim clarified that the comment was not for Shehnaaz but is it fair to judge someone who is trying to move on from a big loss in life? Despite knowing the fact that life will never be the same again, we move on and that’s the hardest part. Often, people are judged for moving on after the death of a loved one, especially women. Everyone has a right to live happily. And women are judged for divorce, moving on, standing up for themselves and much more. We wonder when will all this stop?

Take a look at how fans are reacting to Asim’s comment.

A twitter user seemed hurt after Asim’s post replied to him, “Genuinely, did not expect this from you Asim. I was a diehard fan for the last 2 years. seriously, giving taunt to someone who is trying to move on from bad days. I am happy to see her like this because I am also going through the pain of losing someone. Shame on Asim Riaz”.

Well, in an Instagram story Asim Riaz clarified that his tweet was for some of his friends partying in Goa after the loss of one of his close friends.

However, it seems that fans are not in a mood for any clarification.

The tweet meant for Shehnaaz or not is a debatable topic. But we have seen many times when women are judged for their life choices. These judgments leave a deep impact on the victim.

How can your judgment affect their lives?

  1. The constant reminder of your loved one loss may drag them into the pit of guilt. They start blaming themselves for the situation.
  2. It raises the stress levels of the person who is judged.
  3. It may build a negative atmosphere around the person and sabotage their mental health.

Here are some quotes of the people who moved on after their partner’s death.

‘It takes time and so often for someone to lean on, it is a hard road and an average of about five stages that you go through. You may very well go back and forth in the stages. But once you know that by saying goodbye does not mean you are forgetting them that you will always have a part of them with you by keeping their memory alive that they are with you all the time and every step you make they are there the love you have for your partner keeps them alive within you. The memories are something no one can ever steal from you and so by that, they live on inside of you’. – George W

The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to.’ -Elisabeth Kubler Ross.
