  • I do not want to be typecast- Vikrant on his choice of roles

Many talented actors from Telly World have made it big in B-town in the past few years. In the same line, Vikrant Massey nailed the list.

The talented actor started his journey with Disney Channel in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom in a supporting role. However, Vikrant has now established himself as a mainstream Bollywood actor. Where Ayushmann Khurana, Rajkumar Rao are consistently lauded for their versatility, Vikrant Massey has also proved his worth in the same line. Whether it is being a passionate lover in Haseen Dilruba or best bud of Madhav in Half Girlfriend, Massey never failed to impress his fans.

Vikrant and his unintended controversies

When Kangana wanted to hit Vikrant with Chappal!

In one of Yami Gautam’s wedding pictures, Vikrant Massey wrote: “Pure & Pious like Radhe Maa!” However, this joke did not go well with Kangana Ranaut. Responding to his comment, Kangana wrote, “Kahan se nikla ye cockroach… Lao meri chappal.

Breaking the silence on the same Vikrant, Massey replied, “I do not pay attention to all these things. I try to very consciously negate toxicity in my life. I do not go on Twitter much, and I have been very vocal about it. That is one of the worst public discourse platforms that we have. But individually, I generally do not tend to pay attention to these things.”

When he took panga with the Virat fans!

Recently, Massey messed with cricket fans and left them upset. During the third test match with South Africa, India skipper Virat Kohli made remarks after being upset with a Decision Review System (DRS) decision against the host broadcasters through stump mic. Virat, along with his teammates, lost their cool over the same.

In response to this incident, Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey posted a tweet on Twitter that disappointed many Indian cricket fans. The avid cricket followers even took offense and shared their thoughts and opinions.

This brought Vikrant to the troll list, and netizens slammed him on social media.

Vikrant Massey strongly believes in giving something different yet authentic to the audience with his work. A list of his previous hits includes Haseen Dilruba, A Death In The Gunj, Mirzapur, Love Hostel, etc., to name a few.

Vikrant shares this conscious effort and its challenges, “It is a constant challenge for any actor to not get typecast. Even when I was doing television, I did not want to be typecast as a daily soap actor. The idea was to go out there and offer something fresh or new.”

Even when Massey got a chance to make his Bollywood debut, he constantly churned out roles that were unique in perspective, unseen, unheard, and most significantly, far more accurate. “I think there is a part in us that distinguishes between realism and make-believe. When we play a character that is close to us in reality, we form an attachment to it,” added the Love Hostel actor.

Well, the fact cannot be denied that there are very few TV actors (no offense please) who managed to brighten their Bollywood career. And Vikrant definitely rules the list.

Happy birthday Vikrant Massey!
