Shark Tank India became a phenomenon show which showcased some creative ideas, absurd pitches and endless memes.
Perhaps no one expected that Shark Tank India would become one of the most popular shows that would trend on social media every day.
While there were candidates/pitchers who received love from the whole nation, others were too hard to believe so judges waved a red flag as soon as they heard the idea because of their business ideas that literally made the judges and the viewers laugh out loud.
LET’S LOOK AT SOME BEST AND WORST PITCHES OF SHARK TANK INDIA SEASON 1
SHARK TANK INDIA’S ‘PITCH OF THE SEASON’
Entrepreneur Kamlesh Nanasaheb Ghumare created a multipurpose bicycle solution for farmers which was declared ‘the pitch of the season’ on Shark Tank India Season 1. Kamlesh charmed the panel of ‘sharks’ and his winning idea was backed by Lenskart co-founder Peyush Bansal and received Rs 20 lakh loan without interest.
PITCHES THAT RECEIVED INVESTMENT FROM ALL THE SHARKS

WORST PITCHES & WEIRD BUSINESS IDEAS THAT TURNED INTO FAMOUS LOL MOMENTS
BELLY BUTTON SHAPER
Exactly how it sounds! The product was the funniest yet weirdest thing ever and not only on the show. Pitchers and creator of the product Baldev Jumnani from Nagpur pitched their idea to the judges calling it as his fantasy (apparently). The participant came with his wife, and the first thing that came out of his mouth was, ‘What’s your fantasy? ‘ The question itself left the judges stunned and confused whether to laugh or to cry. Lol
The product was ‘Belly-Button Shaper’, also called ‘Gol Nabhi’ (literally: round belly button).
After listening to the pitcher, Ashneer Grover and Aman Gupta actually hid their faces to laugh. Creators Baldev and Jayshree Jumnani even invited a belly dancer to demonstrate the product.
Ashneer who is known for giving blunt replies to the contestants literally slammed the contestant. Can we blame him?
PORTABLE GLASS ATTACHMENT
After listening to the product’s name, you may wonder this might be a tech device but well, it is not, it is just a device. Season’s another weirdest pitch that made Ashneer lose his temper was Sippline Drinking Shields’ portable glass attachment as in a cover for glass rims. The founder even called it’s product ‘glass ka mask’.
Ashneer just couldn’t control and lost his cool and said, “Bhai kya kar rha hai tu? Do you drink a lot? You took the place of a deserving candidate”, were some of the harsh words that the founder had to face.
Ashneer even said, “Mujhe bhagwan utha le ye itna ganda product hai.”

The show comprises of a 3 minute pitch followed by a Q&A with the sharks. Your pitch is designed by the Channel creatives and mostly you need to stick to it and speak Hindi, at times your USP can get diluted but that's how the scheme of things is.

The three-minute pitch is designed by the Channel creatives and entrepreneurs have to stick to it anyhow even if the USP of their product is getting lost in it.
The process of pitching your idea and decision from the sharks looks like a 15-20 minutes interaction on the TV show, however, it actually goes on for much longer at around 60-120 minutes where “both the parties get to understand each other’s dynamics, says one of the winning entrepreneurs.
There goes a lot of practice before the actual shoot and the Shark Tank India’s creative team plays a huge role in helping the entrepreneurs polish their pitches led by talented and driven people which helps the entrepreneurs to present their ideas/products shine on stage.
