Rakul Preet Singh- The Woman Who Rules Our Heart!
Rakul Preet Singh, the actress who has been ruling our hearts with her smile and sass, is one of the most talented actresses in India. Born on 10th October 1990 (aren’t Libra girls just ready to go?) , she debuted on the big screen with the Kannada film Gilli in 2009. Ever since then, there has been no turning back for this actress.
With four Filmfare Awards South nominations, winner of the CineMAA Award and South Indian International Award to her credit, she has come a long way. Born in a Sikh family in New Delhi, she is an alumnus of Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University.
The actress has also been involved in some drug case controversies in both Bollywood and Tollywood and was called for questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Enforcement Directorate (ED).
She has acted in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil, as well as Bollywood films. The 32-year-old has given some amazing performances over the years. Here are her best five movies so far-
- Loukyma – A Telugu movie, the action-comedy film had Rakul and Gopichand in the lead. The movie received critical appreciation and was also remade in different languages. The Bollywood adaptation of which was Ek Khiladi.
- Jaya Janaki Nayaka- A Telugu action-drama film, the movie was directed by Boyapati Srinu. With stars like Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Jagapathi Babu, the movie was action-packed and fun to watch. Rakul played the role of the lead girl and love interest of Gagan (Bellamkonda Sreenivas).
- De De Pyaar De- The romantic comedy movie that starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh. Rakul played the young love interest of Ajay and received a lot of praise and love for her acting.
- Runway 34- This was one of the more stellar roles played by Rakul. The frightened co-pilot who had to perform and testify under pressure was played brilliantly by her. The movie also saw her sharing the screen with Ajay Devgn once again after their first movie together, De De Pyaar De.

- Doctor G- A more recent feather in the cap of Rakul’s movie was this Ayushmann Khurrana and Shefali Shah starrer that followed the struggle of a medical student (Ayushmann) who became a gynaecologist despite his wish. Rakul, as a supporting actress, played a simple yet convincing role.
