Tere Ishk Mein Crosses ₹71 Crore in 5 Days, Eyes Dhanush’s Biggest Hit of 2025
Tere Ishk Mein Sees a Surprise Midweek Surge at the Box Office
Tere Ishk Mein continues to hold strong at the box office, showing impressive momentum even on weekdays. The Dhanush–Kriti Sanon starrer collected an estimated ₹10.25 crore on Day 5 (Tuesday), taking its total India net to around ₹71 crore across all languages, as per early estimates from Sacnilk.com.
A Strong Box Office Run
The film opened with a solid ₹16 crore on Friday and maintained upward growth through the weekend with ₹17 crore on Saturday and ₹19 crore on Sunday. Monday witnessed the expected dip, settling at ₹8.75 crore. However, the film surprised the trade with a remarkable rise on Tuesday, indicating positive word-of-mouth and repeat viewership.
The Hindi version continues to lead the collections, with Tamil contributing steadily to the film’s overall success.
Outshining Dhanush’s Other 2025 Releases
Tere Ishk Mein is now one of Dhanush’s top-performing films of the year. It has already surpassed the lifetime India collection of his earlier release Idli Kadai, which wrapped at around ₹50 crore.
The film is still behind Kuberaa, which earned ₹91 crore nett in India. However, with its current pace and the midweek surge, trade analysts expect Tere Ishk Mein to cross that mark and potentially become Dhanush’s biggest hit of 2025 before the end of the week.

Critical Reception
In its review, Hindustan Times praised Dhanush’s performance, stating:
“Dhanush is terrific; he is different from Raanjhanaa’s Kundan, and the way he navigates Shankar’s emotional swings makes his presence difficult to ignore. His chemistry with Kriti Sanon works well… she brings weight to a character that is far from simple.”
The chemistry between the leads, combined with Rai’s emotional storytelling, has played a major role in driving audience interest and box office numbers.
