Shah Rukh Khan finds himself in a unique competition – against himself. His latest film, Jawan, directed by Atlee, has been a resounding success, grossing an impressive ₹477.28 crore in just 11 days, encompassing collections from Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions. Notably, Jawan became the fastest Bollywood movie to join the coveted ₹400 crore club, with Hindi collections alone reaching an estimated ₹430 crore.
The film’s triumph isn’t confined to Indian shores; it’s also making waves internationally. Jawan has amassed a staggering $104 million (₹860 crore) globally, as reported by Sacnilk. This achievement cements Shah Rukh Khan’s status as the first and only Indian artist to have two movies cross the $100 million mark in a single year, with his earlier release, “Pathaan,” achieving this milestone in January.
Now, Jawan is setting its sights on surpassing the records set by Pathaan. Currently, Pathaan holds the title of the highest-grossing Bollywood film, earning ₹524 crore in Hindi and ₹543 crore in all versions across India. Trade estimates suggest that “Jawan” is poised to reach an impressive ₹550 crore in Hindi alone, with an all-India net total approaching ₹600 crore.

Furthermore, Jawan is on track to outshine Pathaan’s global record of ₹1055 crore, having already amassed ₹860 crore worldwide. Should Jawan cross the ₹1000 crore mark, Shah Rukh Khan will become the sole Indian artist to have two movies surpass ₹1000 crore in a single year.
