What made Shah Rukh Khan the King Khan of the industry?
Bollywood ka King Khan, Shahrukh Khan is amongst top actors not only within the country but also all across the globe. With an immense fan following, he had made a place in everybody’s heart with his iconic dialogue, zabardast acting, and sensational movies. SRK is one of the highest-paid actors in India.
Shah Rukh Khan’s list of accolades includes 14 film fare awards and has been honoured with the most prestigious award, Padma Shri too. Today his net worth accounts for $700 million.
Khan is also popular for his philanthropic work. He is associated with a charitable organization, Make a Wish Foundation. He is the owner of the IPL team, KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) along with Jay Mehta and Juhi Chawla. He owns big production companies like Red Chillies Entertainment and Dreamz Unlimited.
He left everybody chilled in a possessive, aggressive, anti-hero avatar in the movie Darr. He was adorned with a lover boy image, in DDLJ. Khan was appreciated for defining Adarsh beta in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. It is very hard to justify an iconic movie and to recreate it for anybody, but not for SRK. People fell in love again with Devdas and Don, once King Khan hit the screens.
Shah Rukh Khan’s son was arrested in a drug case
The beginning of October did not bring good news for King Khan as he did not make headlines for all good reasons. On October 2, 2021, the 55-year-old actor’s son, Aryan Khan was arrested after NCB raided and busted a party on a cruise ship. And since then Aryan was retained to walk out in the open. This is a setback for 23-year-old Aryan. The anti-drugs department has seized illegal drugs from the party. Reportedly, 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA, and 5 grams of MD were seized.
Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan could not secure bail once again. The order on his bail is reserved till October 20. The hearing on his bail witnessed fierce arguments and disagreements. The anti-drug agency alleged that there is evidence of Aryan consuming drugs for the last few years. It was also said that his friend was possessing a banned substance and it was reserved for consumption of both. Aryan’s lawyer, on the other hand, claimed that he has nothing to do with the international drug racket.
Now all eyes are glued to the court’s decision to be delivered on October 20 anxiously.

During this time, Shah Rukh Khan’s fans had shown immense support to him. Whether it is on social media or outside SRK’s residence Mannat, fans had extended their support to Khan’s family with play cards that read, “We are with you Aryan Khan.” Another said, “This too shall pass, full support to SRK and family.”
Many celebrities including Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan, and many more, came out in support of Khans. Several personalities including Suniel Shetty, Salman Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Hansal Mehta, and Suchitra Krishnamurthy have rallied in support of Shah Rukh Khan over the drugs case. Actress Pooja Bhatt tweeted, “I stand in solidarity with you @iamsrk. Not that you need it. But I do. This too shall pass.”

Meanwhile, NCB officers counseled Khan’s son in custody. Aryan told NCB that from now on, he would work for society. He was counseled along with seven other accused in the drugs-on-cruise case. NCB zonal director, Sameer Wankhede, was reportedly present at the time of counseling.
In the series of assurances given by Aryan Khan, he mentioned that
- I will work for the social and financial uplift of the poor and downtrodden.
- I will devote myself to the country and the underprivileged.
- Will never do anything, which could bring me publicity for the wrong reasons.
This is the first time counseling was held in the narcotics case.
