However, it was later disclosed that the image was taken during the launch event for their upcoming film SK21, where they are co-stars. Rajkumar Periasamy, the film’s director, shared the photo, which showed Sai Pallavi and him wearing garlands as part of the film’s auspicious pooja ceremony.

He clarified that it was not an actual wedding photo but from the film’s event. In South Indian film launches, decorated garlands are customary symbols, dispelling marriage rumours.
