Why Sai Pallavi Turned Down Chiranjeevi’s ‘Bholaa Shankar’ and Raghava Lawrence’s ‘Chandramukhi 2’

Why Sai Pallavi rejected Chiranjeevi's 'Bholaa Shankar' and 'Chandramukhi 2'—Her Commitment to Quality Over Stardom.

Selective Actress Rejects Big Offers! Sai Pallavi’s Film Choices & More!

Sai Pallavi, the talented actress known for her exceptional performances, has gained recognition not only for her acting skills but also for her selective choice of film projects. She is known for rejecting certain films, including Chiranjeevi’s ‘Bholaa Shankar’ and now Raghava Lawrence’s ‘Chandramukhi 2’, due to her commitment to quality scripts.

Initially, Pallavi was offered the role of Chiranjeevi’s sister in ‘Bholaa Shankar’. However, she turned down this opportunity due to her hesitation in acting in remakes. ‘Bholaa Shankar’ is a Telugu remake of the Tamil film ‘Vedalam’. During the pre-release event of her 2021 film ‘Love Story’, Chiranjeevi mentioned this offer, to which Sai responded, “I am usually scared to act in remakes; hence, I said no to ‘Bholaa Shankar’.”

Sai also passed on ‘Chandramukhi 2’, the sequel to the classic Tamil film ‘Chandramukhi’. While the exact reason for her rejection remains undisclosed, it is rumoured that she was initially offered a role in the movie.

Interestingly, the makers of ‘Chandramukhi 2’ have decided not to release the film in Hindi, even though Kangana Ranaut plays the title role. The film, featuring Raghava Lawrence as the male lead, will only be released in the South. This decision has raised questions about why Pallavi declined the offer in the first place.

The controversy surrounding Sai’s choices will likely only be solved after ‘Chandramukhi 2’ releases on September 15th. Until then, her commitment to quality over quantity proves her dedication to her craft.
