From working in Sourav Ganguli’s biopic to sharing his bond with his daughter Raha, Ranbir Kapoor is trending on Twitter for these reasons.

Ever since it was announced that Luv Ranjan’s production house is going to produce Dada Sourav Ganguly’s biopic, fans have been waiting to know who will be headlining the project. However, recently, some reports suggested that Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play Sourav Ganguly in this biopic. Amidst this, Ranbir was spotted playing a friendly cricket match with Sourav Ganguly at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The picture of the two together on the cricket ground further sparked rumours of the biopic. However, Ranbir reacted to the same and revealed that he has ‘not heard’ of the Sourav Ganguli biopic so far.

Ranbir will not be in the Sourav Ganguli biopic

In a presser organised for his recent film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar promotions, Kapoor said, “I think Dada is a living legend, not just in India, around the world. A biopic on him will be very special. Unfortunately, this film has not been offered to me. I think the makers of Luv films are still writing the script.”

However, the Brahmastra actor did share the deets on the biopic which is confirmed. He said, “I have been working on a biopic of Kishore Kumar for 11 years now. We are in the writing process with Anurag Basu and that is going to be my next biopic. I can’t say anything about the Sourav Ganguli biopic”.

‘Raha has started smiling’- said the actor while embracing fatherhood

During a media interaction held in Kolkata, the ‘Sanju’ actor also shared some insights about his personal life. He fondly talked about his newborn daughter Raha Kapoor and said that he does not feel like leaving his home these days after Raha has come into their lives.

Ranbir said, “This morning, even to get that 20 minutes with her before my flight, it just rejuvenates you. I miss her a lot, I keep seeing her photos”

Also, Kapoor shared his joy of fatherhood and said that being a father is the best feeling in the world. As he talked about daddy responsibilities, he said he has become a burping expert. He also said that daughter Raha started smiling two weeks ago and it’s magical.

“Whenever I’m at home, I’m always beside her and its magical. She has just started smiling in the last two weeks. And seeing that smile breaks your heart. It feels like a new understanding of love. You were asking me about the language of love, but the baby has no language. It’s a love you cannot describe.”

‘Special mention to my husband’- Alia gave click credits to Ranbir

Despite being super busy with promotions of his upcoming film, TJMM, Kapoor makes sure that he takes time for wifey Alia too.

Alia Bhatt recently won Zee Cine Awards for Best Actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi. She took to Instagram sharing about her latest achievement and gave the click credit to her husband, Ranbir. She wrote, “Gangu love. Thank you Zee Cine Awards for the honour! Sir – no words ever be enough for how grateful I am to you!! @bhansaliproductions.” Alia added, “Special mention to my husband for patiently taking my picture at 2 am.”

Apart from the award, her fans are super excited to see what she chose to wear for the recent award function. Alia slays in a green thigh-high slit dress with a plunging neckline. She accessorized the look with a statement necklace and kept her hair open and free.

Kapoor expressed admiration for Pakistani artists

Ranbir Kapoor is one such actor who never left any controversy unanswered. He was recently accused of being disloyal to his nation by Indian media. This came after his comments on his wish to work with Pakistani filmmakers. In a recent interview, Kapoor made it clear stating that cinema and art have no frontiers, highlighting that artists put art before nationality.

The actor clarified that his previous statement about being open to working on a Pakistani project was misconstrued. He explained that he didn’t want to make a controversial statement and that films and art transcend borders, but one’s country should be respected.

Kapoor also expressed admiration for Pakistani artists and congratulated the industry on the success of the film, The Legend of Maula Jatt.

At the moment Ranbir is gearing up for the Tu Jhutti Mai Makkar release which is slated with the theatres on March 8.
