Milind Soman Completes 600km Cycling and Running Challenge From Mumbai to Goa in 5 Days at 60 as Part of Fit India Freedom Run
Milind Soman, the ageless model, actor, and icon of fitness, has once again set an example for the whole country with his exceptional endurance and commitment to fitness. At 60 years, when most people slow down, Milind undertook this physically grueling journey of 600 kilometers from Mumbai to Goa in just five-five days. This was part of the 5th edition of the Fit India Freedom Run, a nation-wide initiative that attempted to promote health and encourage everyone to live an active lifestyle.
The 26 of June was when the challenge began at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Each day Milind combined two highly demanding activities; cycling 90 kms, running 21 kilometers. So every day he went through Half Ironman distances. He continued this agenda for five consecutive days, thereby proving not only physical strength, but mental resilience and discipline, too.
That journey symbolized more than merely personal determination. The spectacular but harsh Konkan belt of Maharashtra presents such landmarks houses like Pen, Kolad, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, and Kankavli, where Milind went before his final destination of Goa on June 30. The journey would not only be beautiful but also arduous, full of sweaty weather, exhausting climbs, and long hours before the road, yet Milind forged on with grace and resolution.
Milind Soman captioned his thoughts to the social media with, “Fit India Run started today! 5 days, 600 km, Mumbai to Goa — made it more fun this time, doing the half ironman distances for running and cycling every day. 90km cycling and 21km running with the best crew — @ankita_earthy, of course doing the running segment with me!”
Sharing the running segment with him was his better half, Ankita Konwar, who clearly speaks fitness and travels the conflicting path of goals shared by the couple and what it means for fitness to be a lifestyle rather than a routine.

According to Milind, he takes such a challenge once in a year just to check whether everything is functioning well or not.” However, these yearly tests are more than just a check-up for his fans and fitness followers; they source deep inspiration as well with people telling him how they are inspired to live better lives and get fitter to enjoy living more — icing on the cake,” he noted.
Continuity and passion have characterized Milind’s association with the Fit India Movement, initiated by the Government of India in 2020. Milind Soman is among the few well-known faces associated with this initiative, and he has been using his platform and real-life examples to push boundaries as to what it means to be fit at any age.
Fit India Freedom Run could not have found a better ambassador. Milind’s latest journey from Mumbai to Goa is not only a personal stamp of proof in case of his strength but beacon to millions of Indians to break their limits in fitness as a lifelong goal.

Through his arduously annual adventures, Milind Soman continues redefining aging, inspiring holistic health and spreading the message that fitness isn’t confined by age but fueled by determination. Be it barefoot marathons, swimming across rivers, or now riding and running 600km over the coast — Milind is showing the world what a 60-year-old body can do when fuelled with passion and purpose.
“May every Indian be a Fit Indian. Jai Hind,” he rightly concluded.
