Director Mahesh Manjrekar has unveiled a surprising twist in the tale of the biopic “Swantantrya Veer Savarkar.” Initially set to helm the project, he sheds light on his departure due to Randeep Hooda’s intervention. Manjrekar exposed Hooda’s attempt to infuse inappropriate content, including a scene involving Bhagat Singh with Savarkar. Manjrekar’s objections against these alterations ultimately led to his exit.

Manjrekar’s connection with the film spans over five years, from proposing the concept to producers Sandeep Singh and Anand Pandit.
