It’s a difficult plan to describe, but here goes. Please bear with me. Don’t become disoriented. If you like, you can hold my hand. The IB uncovers that Pakistan is working with China to surprise India from the east. They (or, as the narrator maintains, “We”) have 10 days to prevent West Pakistan jets from flying with the necessary weaponry to the East Pakistan military camp.

Dev, being the genius that he is, performs some next-level reverse reasoning. He proposes that India close its airspace to prevent West Pakistan jets from reaching the east, thus thwarting the approaching onslaught. When Dev realizes that only an act of war can justify the closure of airspace, he goes back even deeper.

In turn, he advises staging a hijacking of an Indian commercial airliner by allowing real Azad Kashmir terrorists to take control of a bogus flight with 30 IB agents dressed as terrified civilians.

Vidyut Jammwal has little to offer as an actor or action star. Other times, you’d appreciate his action and forget about his acting, but you don’t get either here. Anupam Kher’s role is so straightforward and uncomplicated that it doesn’t appear that the actor is even attempting to act. It’s easygoing, but not very memorable. Vishal Jethwa speaks in a vernacular dialect, but that was required; as the character of a Kashmiri border guard he had to be offensive with a touch of brainlessness.

His accent is also awful, but isn’t that how “they” sound? Dalip Tahil is squandered in a little role, Faizan Khan and Mir Sarwar are adequate, and Hobby Dhaliwal and Suvrat Joshi maintain their identities. Niharica Raizada, Ashwath Bhatt, Danny Sura, Sahidur Rahaman, Pyarali Nayani, Rajat Roy, and Amit Anand Raut make up the supporting cast.
