Akshay Kumar shoots for a Health Ministry health campaign with proper precautions
Coronavirus lockdown impacted almost every sector in the country. While heart-breaking images and video of daily-wage migrant workers kept reminding us of India’s huge problems. Other sectors like MSMEs, non-essential shops, film-making were also hit badly. The shooting of web series, movies, TV serials, reality shows are at a halt because of the lockdown. This is resulting in pressure on producers which has made them release movies on OTT platforms rather than waiting for the coronavirus to fade away. Recently, it was announced that Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Gulabo Sitabo will release on Amazon Prime Video instead of cinema theatres.
As we are close to the end of lockdown 4.0, government is thinking of giving some relaxations to bring film industry back on its feet.
Recently an ad campaign related to the “post lockdown responsibilities’ was shot at Kamalistan studio, Mumbai video with proper social distancing norms and necessary precautions.

One of the crew member can be seen getting disinfected through a tunnel. He is being handed mask and face shields. The temperature of crew members were also checked by the medical professionals in PPE suits.

Who was shooting?
R Balki is making an advertisement for the Health Ministry with Akshay Kumar. R Balki, the director of the advertisement video said that team who were involved in the shooting took proper precautions while shooting. The work was being conducted with minimal crew and all of them wore masks. He also said that he didn’t face any problem while shooting with regards to the guidelines of the government.
The way this video was shot could be the way forward to resume work of the entertainment industry in Bollywood. However, it could be challenging for some scenes where a large crowd is required.
The biggest challenge, however, remains that most of the shootings of movies and web series or television series takes place in Mumbai and Mumbai is the worst-hit area across the country.
Currently, the shoot for movies, web series, television programs and other production activities is suspended. Businessmen related to the entertainment industry are expecting some relaxations from the government once the lockdown 4.0 ends to restart the industry.
