The film, starring the dynamic duo of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, made its theatrical debut on August 11, and as per the latest reports from Sacnilk.com, it has already raked in over ₹50 crore on its third day of release.

The movie, directed by the accomplished Anil Sharma, continued to gain momentum, achieving its highest collection on Sunday. Early estimates suggest that “Gadar 2” garnered an impressive ₹52 crore net on its third day, surpassing its already impressive earnings of ₹40.1 crore on day one and ₹43.08 crore on day two. The cumulative domestic box office collection of the film now stands at a staggering ₹135.18 crore.

“Gadar 2” continues the saga of the iconic characters Tara Singh and Sakeena, reprised by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, respectively. Produced by Zee Studios, the film also features Utkarsh Sharma as Charanjeet. Set in 1971, the storyline follows Tara Singh’s brave journey into Pakistan to rescue his son, Charanjeet Singh, from the clutches of the Pakistani Army.

This sequel is a follow-up to the monumental success of “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” (2001), also directed by Anil Sharma. The original film was a romantic-action drama that unfolded against the backdrop of the Partition of India. Sunny Deol portrayed the lead role of Tara Singh, a Sikh truck driver from Amritsar, who falls in love with Sakeena, a Muslim girl from a Pakistani political family in Lahore, portrayed by Ameesha Patel.
