In terms of the film’s plot, Shah Rukh Khan revealed that ‘Dunki’ narrates the story of individuals yearning to return home, aptly described as a ‘calling.’ In an interview, he shared that if the film were in English, it would be called ‘Donkey,’ but in the Punjabi pronunciation, it’s ‘Dunki.’ He praised the brilliance of director Raju Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi.
