In a concerning trend, another Bollywood actress, Katrina Kaif, has fallen victim to the manipulative world of deepfake technology. Katrina, who stars alongside Salman Khan in the much-anticipated movie ‘Tiger 3,’ is the latest target. The film is produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Maneesh Sharma, set for release on November 12 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. In the lead-up to its release, Katrina Kaif has seen her name circulate for all the wrong reasons.
A day after Rashmika Mandanna’s Deepfake video stirred social media, a manipulated image of Katrina Kaif’s iconic towel scene from ‘Tiger 3’ has surfaced online. In the original scene, Katrina was seen in a towel, engaging in a fierce fight with a Hollywood stuntwoman. However, the deep fake altered this image to show Katrina wearing a white, low-cut top and white panties.

The towel fight scene, as described by Katrina Kaif herself, was exceptionally challenging to shoot. It involved intense hand-to-hand combat in a steamy Hammam room, making it a remarkable and unique action sequence in Indian cinema, especially because it featured two women in such a demanding fight scene. Katrina praised the director, Maneesh Sharma, and the entire action team for their dedication and execution, showing it was a true team effort. She expressed excitement for the audience to witness this intense action piece on the big screen.

‘Tiger 3’ continues the story from previous films like ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017), ‘War’ (2019), and ‘Pathaan’ (2023). The film is set to hit theatres on November 12, featuring Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist.

In this video, Rashmika was seen entering an elevator. What makes this video disturbing is that it was initially a clip of British-Indian influencer Zara Patel, but it had been altered using deepfake technology to replace her face with Rashmika’s.
