India to see its first mainstream zombie web series with Betaal
Netflix recently released the trailer of its new fiction-horror series “Betaal” which has definitely sparked interest in the horror- genre lovers. After watching the trailer, it seems that the makers of Ghoul and Get Out has prepared us for a scary masterpiece. The story is set in a small village where a curse is broken and then a battalion of British Indian soldiers is ready to attack. The “Betaal” series is going to be a very special show for Indian fans it would be the first Indian web show to bring zombies on screen. After watching the trailer we could help ourselves noticing these 5 things that make SRK and Netflix’s Betaal special.
1. India to get its first Zombie series
Move over from the Walking dead and other foreign zombies series because we are going to get our own desi zombies. First time when we saw zombies in Go Goa Gone, we were mesmerized. Finally, all the horror genre lovers can rejoice because we are about to see Made-in-India zombies. By the look of the trailer, it seems that makers have done a commendable job to make zombies horrible and scary.

2. Get out and Red Chillies are together
The show comes from the famous Blumhouse productions along with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Earlier, Red Chillies has brought Bard of Blood while Blumhouse productions have made a masterpiece “Get Out”. We are thrilled with the desi-videshi combo which will bring something wildly entertaining.

3. Terrifying monsters and Centuries old-curses
Who doesn’t love watching the mysteries getting unfolded when centuries-old-curse is broken. Although, there are only scenes of monsters but it has got us all excited.
4. A fight with two-centuries-old British Indian Army officer Betaal and its army of zombies
The show doesn’t seem to be about just killing some random zombies. The zombies are from British India Army Officer’s battalion and when the local police will fight against them, it will fuel our patriotism tanks. All we would need is that “70 minutes” kind of dialogue that SRK performed in Chak De India.
5. A fresh cast
A fresh cast of Vineet Kumar Singh, Aahana Kumra with exceptional acting abilities are the main leads of series which will start streaming on Netflix from May 24 onwards.
