In the recent years, the entertainment industry lost very talented and capable actors. But 3 such prominent stars had acted together in the same serial and left this world. That serial was Balika Vadhu.
Balika Vadhu is a 2008 drama that was based on child marriage reportedly prevailing in many parts of Rajasthan. The show ran for 8 long years and got off air on 31 July 2016.
This show was blessed with a talented star cast including Pratyusha Banerjee, Surekha Sikri, Sidharth Shukla, Anup Soni, Avika Gor, Vikrant Massey, Avinash Mukherjee, and many others.
Unfortunately, 3 actors from the popular show are no more in the world.

Pratyusha Banerjee (1991 – 2016)
Pratyusha Banerjee was introduced in the serial as grown-up Anandi. On 1 April 2016, Pratyusha was found hanging from the ceiling in her Bangur Nagar house at Kandivali, Mumbai. She had not left any suicidal note or reason for such a drastic step.
However, Pratyusha’s parents alleged that
her live-in boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh had killed her. They registered an FIR against him stating, Raj had tortured their daughter and induced her to commit suicide. Whereas Rahul passed the blame on Banerjee’s parents that they had taken several loans in her name and the late actress was unable to pay those.
The reason for the suicide of this 24-year-old actress is still a mystery. In an interview her parents revealed that there all finances are drained in fighting for justice of their beloved daughter.

Surekha Sikri (1945 – 2021)
Veteran Actress Surekha Sikri was already an established star. A few months ago, Surekha passed away after a cardiac arrest. She had also survived a brain stroke in 2020. She earned a household name as Dadi Sa from Balika Vadhu.
Her performance in the movie Badhaai Ho was acclaimed by many and she also won a National Award. Sikri is a 3-time National Award winner, more than any other actress.
Surekha Sikri was part of many television shows and films. Being a theatre artist, she started her acting career from Kissa Kursi ka, a 1977 political drama film. Thereafter, she worked in many films like Tamas, Sardari Begum, and her final movie Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai is releasing on 10 September 2021.
Sidharth Shukla (1980 – 2021)
The sudden demise of Sidharth Shukla on September 2, left his all fans heartbroken. Shukla shared a screen with late actress Pratyusha Banerjee as Shivraj Shekhar. He as a collector of Jaitser, a no-nonsense bureaucrat was very convincing.
After Balika Vadhu, there was no stopping his acting career. Back-to-back he bagged many hit roles in TV serials.
The death of Sidharth Shukla came as a shock for the entire nation. Meanwhile, his fans are also worried about his rumoured girlfriend Shehnaz Gill. As per the reports of the Times Of India, Sidharth Shukla took his last breath in the arms of Shehnaz. Sidharth slept in Shehnaz’s lap after complaining of uneasiness and feeling of discomfort. But when Shehnaz saw Sidharth sleeping in the same position for hours, she panicked, and their family doctor informed her that Shukla has passed away.
The pair was immensely in love with each other and Shehnaz never shied away from showcasing her love for Shukla.
Their close friends and a relative told the media that Shehnaz is in a state of shock. While his mother trying to stay strong with tears in her eyes.
He appeared last on Dance Deewane 3 with Shehnaz to promote his recent web series Broken but Beautiful season 3.
