School Principal Thrashed For Installing CCTV Camera In Girls Washroom

Principal of a CBSE school in Ambi alleged that they installed the CCTV in the girls washroom to examine school property. That led to the beating of the principal by the parents and the video got viral on social media.

On Tuesday,some parents nabbed a principal of the CBSE board school and thrashed him for allegedly planting a CCTV camera in girls washroom. After the information comes from the Ambi near Talegaon Dabhade, the case comes to fore. When a video of the principal beaten by some people got social,the school remained closed on Thursday because of the scandal. Parents spoke to TOI for the reopening of the school. Officials of the school said the people who beat the principal are the members of Bajrang Dal.

Senior officer Ranjit Sawant has said that a complaint has been registered. 

DCP Pimpri Chinchwad told TOI that in the enquiry held by the Education department and school administration if they found something they will take strict legal action. Sawant tells that one of the lady police officers examined the whole area and found a CCTV camera installed in the wash basin  at the common area and the inside of the cubicles doesn’t have it. School officials said that the cameras are installed to record any incident of mirror damage and to examine the school property. Some parents say that the school staff was rude with them which led to the beating up of the principal.

Pune Zilla Parishad chief executive officer Ayush Prasad said that they will provide every information to the investigation team.
