Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his fondness for legendary footballer Lionel Messi but revealed that he is not a “huge” cricket fan during a recent conclave organized by the Pratidin Media Network of Assam in New Delhi. In a rapid-fire round of questions that covered various aspects of pop culture, movies, sports, and more, Rahul Gandhi was asked to choose between Messi and Ronaldo. He stated that he likes Ronaldo for his kindness but believes Messi is the better player and would prefer him if he were to run a football team.

Rahul Gandhi also shared his versatility, mentioning that he could have pursued various paths in life besides being a politician. He highlighted that being a politician is just one facet of his identity, and he takes on different roles depending on the context, such as being a teacher when talking to his nephew and friends or a cook in the kitchen.

India And Bharat Preference

When asked to choose between “Bharat” and “India” in the context of the ongoing debate about the country’s name, Rahul Gandhi responded with “India that is Bharat.” This question arose following an invitation from the Rashtrapati Bhawan for the G20 dinner, which used the title “President of Bharat” instead of the usual “President of India.”

Regarding cricket, when asked to pick between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Rahul Gandhi surprised many by stating that he is not a huge cricket fan and would choose either one, acknowledging that it might not be a popular response.

In a lighthearted question about preferences between Netflix and working out, the Congress MP opted for the workout. He also revealed his appreciation for both Indian and Chinese cuisine.

In the realm of movies, Rahul Gandhi faced a choice between “The Godfather” and “The Dark Knight.” However, he found both movies to be deep and couldn’t pick one as his favourite.

Lastly, when asked to choose between a clean shave and the beard look he sported during his Kanyakumari to Kashmir padayatra, he expressed his indifference, stating that he’s not overly concerned about whether he has a beard or not and is okay with any look.
