NIA Makes Major Breakthrough With 7th Arrest In Delhi Blast Case

The terror attack that shook the national capital claimed multiple lives and left several others injured. The latest accused, identified as Soyab, a resident of Dhauj in Faridabad, has reportedly played a key role in assisting the primary suicide bomber Umar Un Nabi.

Authorities stated that emerging evidence revealed Soyab had provided logistical support to Nabi and sheltered him shortly before the explosion. His arrest has given NIA investigators a deeper understanding of the terror network operating behind the fatal attack.

Former Al-Falah University Staffer Allegedly Sheltered Bomber

According to NIA officials, Soyab previously worked at Al Falah University and was allegedly aware of the broader conspiracy. Investigators claim that he knowingly harboured Umar Un Nabi, offering both shelter and resources for the planning phase. This move further strengthened suspicions that the terror module involved a well-organised network with academic and professional ties.

NIA investigation teams, accompanied by another arrested accused, Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai, visited Soyab’s residence to reconstruct the sequence of events. During the search, authorities discovered that Muzammil had stored a grinder and a portable metal furnace at the location—speculated to have been used for assembling parts of the explosive device.

Soyab is scheduled to be produced before the court today, where the NIA is expected to request custodial interrogation to acquire more crucial details about logistics, funding, and unidentified co-conspirators.

7. Soyab – The latest arrest, accused of offering shelter and logistical help to suicide bomber Umar Un Nabi.

NIA Expands Investigations and Searches Across States

As part of ongoing investigations, NIA teams also visited Al Falah University to verify movement trails, identify involvement of additional staff members and examine the suspected locations used to fabricate explosive materials. The agency is actively tracing multiple leads across various states and coordinating with local police to uncover further members involved in the module.

Officials believe more arrests are likely soon as critical digital and forensic evidence is being analysed. With the 7th arrest in Delhi blast case, the agency aims to dismantle the entire network behind the terror plot and prevent any future attacks.
