Vistara Flight Returns to Delhi due to Cracked Windshield, Passengers Safe.

Vistara flight back to Delhi due to cracked windshield. Safety precaution taken, alternate aircraft arranged. Apologies for inconvenience.

Vistara flight to Pune returns due to cracked windshield caused by bad weather. Alternative aircraft arranged; passenger safety prioritized.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions leading to a cracked windshield, a Vistara flight en route to Pune had to return to Delhi’s IGI Airport on August 23. The decision was taken by the flight’s pilots as a safety precaution, prompting Vistara to arrange an alternative aircraft for the passengers.

Vistara’s spokesperson confirmed the occurrence, explaining that flight UK 991 experienced adverse weather conditions shortly after take-off, causing a crack in its windshield. As a safety measure, the pilots decided to turn back, ensuring a safe landing at Delhi’s IGI Airport. The spokesperson expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to passengers and reiterated Vistara’s commitment to prioritizing the safety of both passengers and crew members.

The incident comes in the wake of a previous disruption involving a Delhi-Pune Vistara flight, which experienced an approximately eight-hour delay at IGI Airport due to a bomb threat call. The call, initially considered a potential threat, was later determined to be non-specific and a hoax by the bomb threat assessment committee. The flight, numbered UK971, was scheduled to depart at 8:30 am but eventually took off at 4:30 pm. Vistara attributed the delay to mandatory security checks.

Amid these incidents, Vistara remains dedicated to ensuring the well-being of its passengers and adhering to stringent safety protocols.
