As the Israel-Hamas War raises security fears, Delhi is on high alert. India’s "Operation Ajay" to evacuate its residents from Israel as a response to rising tensions.

Delhi On Security Alert As  Israel-Hamas War Rages

India’s national capital has been placed on security alert due to concerns about future protests in the city as the conflict between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas continues, according to police officials. 

Before the Friday prayers, a sizable contingent of Delhi Police officers would be stationed on the city’s streets. Additionally, security has been stepped up at the Israel Embassy and Jewish institutions.

According to media sources, the security forces have also warned a few other Indian states and union territories to make sure the Israelis living there are protected.

Following heightened security surrounding “potential Jewish targets” and “pro-Palestinian protesters” in light of the rising violence in Israel, several nations, including the US, UK, France, and Germany, came to this conclusion. 

France on Thursday banned all pro-Palestinian demonstrations in the interest of maintaining public order following Hamas’ brutal attack on Israel. The restriction is criticized for interfering with people’s rights to free speech and assembly.
More than 1,500 Palestinians have died in Gaza as a result of Israel’s fierce retaliation after Hamas launched a surprise land, sea, and air offensive that killed 1,300 Israelis. Soon after the Hamas attack started, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a “state of war” and pledged to destroy Gaza. 

The first flight under Operation Ajay, which landed in New Delhi today, evacuated Indian people who were trapped in Israel as a result of the ongoing fighting.
