The IMD reports that most parts of Delhi saw temperatures higher than those of neighboring Rajasthan, a state famous for its 50 degree temperatures and the Thar Desert. With maximum temperatures between 44 and 47 degrees, Delhi was hotter than Bikaner (44.6 degrees), Barmer (45.8 degrees), Jodhpur (45.6 degrees), Kota (46.2 degrees), and Sriganganagar (46.7 degrees).

A maximum temperature of 44.4 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal, and a minimum temperature of 28.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, were recorded by Delhi’s main weather station, the Safdarjung observatory, according to ANI.
