On Monday cloudburst killed 1 and injured 3 in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh
On Monday, early morning around 3.55 am, a cloudburst hit kayas village in Kullu, according to SERC (state emergency response center). Water carried vehicles that blocked the road and stopped transportation. Its impact killed a man and injured three people. Badal Sharma identified the victim from Chansari village in Kullu and said that three more were injured seriously by getting carried away by vehicles .Very heavy rain caused an Orange alert, marked by the local MET office at remote areas of state.

Authorities sent JCB’s, and other machines have been deployed at blocked roads and a team has been delivered to the site to help people in difficulty. On Sunday IMD India meteorological department claimed Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand received heavy rain showers from July 16 to 18 July. According to the state emergency response center, so far the region has faced losses of around Rs 4,357 crore since the beginning of monsoon on June 24 and more than 111 people have died in heavy rain and extreme flow of water.

Heavy rainfall in Himachal triggers landslides and extreme floods damage the infrastructure and roads of the region. .41 floods and more than 53 landslides were reported from 24 June in Himachal Pradesh according to the reports of SDMA.
