During his three-day trip to Uttarakhand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi surprised many by serving tea to pilgrims at the Kedarnath temple. A video circulating online shows him offering tea to people waiting in line to offer their prayers at the Garhwal Himachal range.

‘Chai Sewa’ Delights Devotees

Devotees were taken aback by his ‘chai sewa’ (tea service) at the temple and warmly interacted with him. Many asked for selfies, with one person expressing their excitement, “We have always watched you on TV, this is the first time we are seeing you in person. Can I take a selfie with you?” Rahul Gandhi gladly obliged and clicked a selfie with the enthusiastic individual.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Kedarnath took place on the first day of his trip to the hilly state. He arrived at the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun and then made his way to the temple via a private helicopter, where he received a warm welcome from the temple’s priests and Congress supporters.

The Congress party shared pictures of Rahul Gandhi’s visit on social media, stating, “Today, Rahul Gandhi ji had the privilege of seeking blessings at the Baba Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand and prayed for the happiness and peace of the country.”
