Rapido Driver Masturbated: Bengaluru Police arrested a Rapido bike driver on Saturday after a woman alleged that he masturbated at the same time as driving a motorbike and harassed her on Whatsapp after dropping her off at the destination.
Athira Purushothaman tweeted on July 21 to state her ordeal and said that she had gone for the Manipur violence protest at metropolis corridor Bangalore and booked a Rapido automobile to go home from the place. However, after multiple cancellations, she decided to take a motorcycle from the app.

Ms Purushothaman stated that they reached a location with “no other vehicles around“. At this point the driver became engaged in inappropriate behavior and she feared for her protection. “Throughout the ride, we reached a far off vicinity without any other automobiles around. Shockingly, the bike driver started driving with one hand and engaging in irrelevant behavior at the same time (Masturbating at the same time as riding the motorbike). Fearing for my protection, I remained silent in the course of the ordeal,” she added in the statement.

So as to avoid sharing her home location, she decided to get down two hundred metres earlier than the actual spot. “As soon as the trip turned into over, he began relentlessly calling and messaging me on WhatsApp. I needed to block his number to stop the harassment,” she said. Ms Purushothaman additionally shared a screenshot of the chat with the driver. The bike driver used heart and kissing emojis in the chat and additionally said “love you”, according to the screenshot.

“Incredibly, the driver arrived on a distinct bike, explaining that the one registered with @rapidobikeapp changed into under-servicing. But then also I confirmed my booking via his app and proceeded with the journey,” she said in one of her statements.
