The official Cliff Booth trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures Of Cliff Booth has arrived, bringing Brad Pitt back as the charismatic and unpredictable character he first played in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. This time, however, Cliff is entering a very different era of Los Angeles, with David Fincher taking over directing duties and Tarantino returning as the screenwriter.

The latest trailer gives audiences a clearer look at what has happened to Cliff Booth several years after the events of the 2019 film. The story moves forward to 1977, approximately eight years after Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Instead of primarily working as Rick Dalton’s stunt double, Cliff has developed a new career as a Hollywood fixer.

According to Netflix’s official synopsis, Cliff is now involved in solving problems for influential people in the entertainment industry. His work appears to take him into situations involving crime, blackmail, theft and extortion, giving the new Cliff Booth movie a different atmosphere from its predecessor.
Brad Pitt Cliff Booth Is No Longer Just A Stuntman
One of the biggest changes shown in the trailer is Cliff’s position within Hollywood. In Tarantino’s original movie, viewers knew him mainly as Rick Dalton’s loyal stunt double and friend. The new story moves him into a more complicated professional world.

David Fincher Cliff Booth Movie Brings A Different Style

The trailer introduces Carla Gugino as Toni, Charlie Peters’ wife, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison, and the Verdusco brothers, played by Matt Groove and JB Tadena. These characters appear to pull Cliff deeper into a series of dangerous situations.
Is This The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Sequel?
Yes, the film is directly connected to Tarantino’s 2019 movie and continues the story of Cliff Booth. However, the project is also being presented as a new chapter centered on the character rather than a direct continuation of Rick Dalton’s story.
Leonardo DiCaprio is not returning as Rick Dalton, while Timothy Olyphant is set to reprise his role as James Stacy. This makes the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood sequel much more focused on what happens to Cliff after the events of the original film.

Netflix has confirmed that The Further Mis-Adventures Of Cliff Booth will receive an exclusive two-week IMAX theatrical run beginning November 25, 2026, before arriving on Netflix on December 23, 2026.
With Brad Pitt returning to an Oscar-winning role, Quentin Tarantino writing the screenplay and David Fincher directing, the Cliff Booth trailer has introduced a movie that takes the familiar character into an entirely different chapter of Hollywood history.
