Dipika Kakar Out of ICU After Cancer Surgery: Shoaib Ibrahim Reveals Her Condition Is Improving Post 14-Hour Operation

TV actress Dipika Kakar, who was also recently diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer, is now showing signs of recovery after undergoing major surgery. In an emotional and heartwarming health update via a YouTube vlog, her husband, fellow TV actor Shoaib Ibrahim, announced that Dipika had finally exited the ICU after a long and arduous 14-hour cancer surgery on June 3.

Shoaib recalled the difficult emotional experience for the family during the surgery. Dipika was taken to the operating room at 8:30 am and came out only after 11:30 pm. “It was a really long wait; we were really tense, especially in the evening hours when there was no update at all. But the doctors had told me that no news from the OT is actually good news,” he said with visible relief.

He continued with the details of the surgery: the doctors found a stone in Dipika’s gallbladder in addition to the cancerous tumor in her liver. They therefore had to remove her gallbladder and also cut a bit of her liver where the tumor was. But they assured the family that the liver is a self-healing organ, and so it would be healing nicely with their care and in time.

This success of surgery became even more special since Shoaib said, “Today is a very auspicious day before Eid Al Adha and, I am grateful Dipika is out of the ICU. Her recovery is coming along, and we trust she is going home soon.”

A few weeks back, Dipika opened up regarding her cancer diagnosis on Instagram, saying a tumor was found in her liver, and that was the size of a tennis ball. It was something which shocked her fans and the TV industry alike. Dipika, who became famous with her beloved role in Sasural Simar Ka, drew widespread support and prayers from her well-wishers during her sickness.

Shoaib confirmed later in one of his vlogs that the medical scans showed no signs of the virus or cancer cells spreading beyond the tumor. “Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, everything looks contained. The doctors are optimistic that once the tumor is removed, her condition will get much better,” he had stated earlier.

The experience has been difficult for the couple, who have shown an admirable capacity to confront this together, yet their bond and faith have shined. His constant updates have kept fans in the loop and in hope, truly making his and Dipika’s YouTube channel a source of strength for all those keeping track of her health.

With Dipika now out of the ICU and deep in recovery in a regular hospital room, fans and well-wishers from around the world arebeaming her and Shoaib with love and strength. To quote Shoaib, “The worst is over, and the healing has begun.”
