Besides that, Vandana Katariya was slammed with a row of casteist slurs when the Women’s Hockey Team happened to not win the semi-finale. Yo Yo Honey Singh accused of domestic abuse
Yo Yo Honey Singh, the rapper is accused of domestic violence by his wife Shalini Talwar. He was served with a notice on July 28 by the court, which granted interim orders in favor of Shalini Talwar. The injunction also prohibited Singh from selling any of his jointly held property, including his and his wife’s Stridhan. Before this incident, Talwar had been posting mysterious messages on social media for a long time now, alluding to various concerns. She had written a piece about the misogyny that exists in society when it comes to women speaking out against abuse.
Honey Singh had shared his official statement on the same on 7th August.
The Crematorium Rape case, a 9-year-old Dalit girl raped and burned to death
The news of a 9-year-old Dalit girl getting raped by the crematorium priest broke up on August 1. A priest and three male employees at a crematorium in Delhi Cantonment reportedly raped and murdered a nine-year-old girl, then burned her corpse without her parents’ agreement or police notification. The four men namely Radhey Shyam (55), the priest, Kuldeep Kumar (63), Laxmi Narain (48) and Mohammad Salim were detained, according to police, after the child’s relatives claimed foul play and held a demonstration with other locals on Sunday night.
Chitra Wagh Accused Of Defaming Sharad Pawar’s Party Leader
Wagh is accused of defaming Mehboob Shaikh, the chairman of the NCP’s state youth section. The Maharashtra Police Department has charged her with a non-cognizable offence. Wagh is the BJP’s Maharashtra vice president. Mehboob Shaikh stated in his statement that he and other party workers travelled to Shirur tehsil in Beed in July. He was accused of raping a lady, but he was not apprehended by authorities. Following this event, Shaikh claimed that Wagh had defamed him and damaged his reputation. He also stated that the situation was resolved by police following an inquiry.
India’s Hockey Team to play for bronze
The women’s hockey team of India was defeated by Argentina in the semi-final match on August 4. On August 6, they will compete for the bronze medal against Great Britain. In the neck to neck match, Britain won with a score of 4-3. The Indian team gave their best.

According to a report by Afghanistan Times, a 21-year-old female called Nazaneed was slain by Taliban terrorists while on her way to the Balkh district centre in Afghanistan. According to reports, the woman was murdered because she was not wearing a veil. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, according to sources, has refuted the allegations.

Kerala High Court upholds marital rape as acceptable grounds for divorce, observing that a husband’s sexual behaviours that ignore his wife’s autonomy constitute marital rape and therefore “physical and emotional cruelty,” in a key decision issued on Friday.
The Kerala High Court’s ruling makes some progress in favour of the cause that many married women have been rallying behind for years in India, where marital rape is still generally unrecognised and is not deemed a criminal offence under the Indian Penal Code.
