A visit to the City of Temples

Set in the heart of Uttar Pradesh, this city of temples is a place for all. Also known as Banaras, this small place is famous for the thousands of temples along its winding street and river Ganga. “Agar Varanasi nahi dekha toh kya dekha?”

So, come let’s see the places that Varanasi very proudly boasts of and the places that the you cannot miss if you ever decide to gives this ‘holy’ place a visit.

– The beautiful Ghats that the city tries very hard to maintain. Yes, the Ghats are going to be dirty, but, it will also be the best experience if your life. Assi Ghat, Manikarnika Ghat, Dashaswamedh Ghat are amongst the few that you should definitely visit.

-The temples. Going to Varanasi and not visiting the n number of temples will be a sin. Vishwanathan Temple is a must.

– Ramnagar Fort and Museum. Take time out and go to this magnificent fort.

-Take a boat ride on the Ganga

-Make sure that you attend the Ganga Aarti that takes place on the Dashaswamedh ghat. It is a sight worth viewing.

– Eat. At the local shops, dharamshalas, stalls- everywhere.

– BHU! Banaras Hindu University. Make it a point to have a look at this great institution.
