Whoa! Vistara to provide free sanitary pads from International Women’s Day


International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 every year. The theme of International Women’s Day 2019 is #BalanceforBetter. To celebrate the womanhood, Indian Airlines Vistara has decided to provide free sanitary pads to all the women passengers from International Women’s Day. Notably, Vistara will become the first Indian airline to offer sanitary pads “On request” to women travelers on domestic flights from International Women’s Day on March 8.

Interestingly, the sanitary pads offered on the flight will be biodegradable and free of plastics.  The crew of Vistara will make the official announcement of distribution on Friday. From 8th March women, travelers on the Vistara will be free to ask for pads whenever they need it.

According to officials of Vistara, from this Friday, the full –service carrier cabin crew will make in-flight announcements on all flights to create awareness that sanitary pads are now available and one can ask for it whenever they need it.

According to the Vice President of Vistara, the initiative to provide sanitary pads to their customers is to reflect their core philosophy that ‘Small things make a big difference.’
