Tamil Nadu has been experiencing a spate of unseasonal rainfall. As a result a lot of areas of the state are inundated, with people stranded on the roofs of their houses, and are finding it difficult to find basic sustenance and shelter, specially in the district of Kancheepuram.
As a result, Indian Army and Airforce have come to the rescue. With the Madras 4 Regiment of the Army coming into action in Kancheepuram and Mudichur, while the Air Force airlifting stranded citizens.
Fortunately there nave been no rains reported today, and this should help ease the situation.
