Rock Out at the South Asian Band Festival

Delhi spun on the wheels of different musical strings as Musical Bands from different parts of South Asia participated in the South Asian Band Festival 2014. Staging its 8th edition, the bands put on a spell binding performance enthralling the crowd.

The Staging area

It is an initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in association with Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR). It started on 7th of November and will go on till the 9th.

The lineup for 8th of November included bands like The Herb & The Remedy (Sri Lanka), Alobo Naga (India), The Ska Vengers (India), Indus Creed (India).

The ideology of the event is to exchange music and collaborate with different artists from different countries to improve regional cooperation.

The Alobo Band played a tribute to women by sending out a firm message to respect every woman.

The Ska Vengers

The Festival is a three day event being held at the picturesque venue of Purana Qila (The Old Fort). It will be concluded on 9th of November. The entries are free and the nearest metro station is Pragati Maidan.
