The Press Council of India has demanded a special law for the protection of the journalists.
The move came after the recent killing of two journalists in Bihar. According to reports, PCI chairman (retd) Chandramouli Kumar Prasad urged the speedy trail of the cases of attacks and assaults against them. He even added that in most of the cases, the matter is not taken to logical conclusion.

He expressed his concern over the issue and said this is happening in the largest democracy of the world, where everybody has a freedom to express him or herself.
