Kashmir INK Chairman Babar Afzal flew into New Delhi on Thursday to officially present Canadian businesswoman, philanthropist and television personality Ashlee Monroe with her appointment as the Pashmina Goat Project’s first international Honorary Diplomatic Ambassador at an exclusive, by invitation only, reception.

Erratic climatic conditions and excessive snow in recent years has been devastating to the India’s Pashmina Eco-System (from the Pashmina Goat, Shepherds, Yarn Weavers, Manufacturers, Craftsmen and Buyers). The Pashmina Goat population of the Indian Himalayas is dwindling, threatening supplies of precious silky pashmina wool and negatively impacting communities dedicated to crafting the warm and lightweight luxury apparel.
