The biggest food festival that the city has ever witnessed is underway at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri. A food-lover’s dream come true, the fest will showcase different restaurants, amazing Michelin-star chefs and beautiful & quaint food pop-ups.

The fest will provide an opportunity to taste and experience new flavors & new cuisines with music, dance and other live entertainment events.


The exclusive 3 day gastronomic gala will be held from 28th to 30th November 2014 at Nehru Park in association with New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

The three day food-a-thon will feature pop-up restaurant versions of some of the city’s finest eateries, including leading names in the culinary world like The Oberoi, Radisson – Kebab Factory, Vivanta by Taj Ambassador, J.W. Marriott – Akira Back, The Taj Mahal Hotel-New Delhi, Sucre Royal China, Sakae Sushi, The Leela, ITC Hotel – Dakshin, Amour,Kebabs & Kurries, Tres, Mamagoto, The Beer Café, Farzi Café, The Park, Fat Lulus, Hungry Monkey,
Punjab Grill, Habibi, Underdogs, Kylin, Tikka Town, Olive Bistro,
Guppi, Punjabi By Nature, Gianni, Khan Chacha, Chokola, Le Bistro Du Parc, Movenpick, Nik Bakers, Townhall, Made in Punjab Rolmaal and Speedy Chow.


The festival is organized to provide a family-day out, with a farmer’s market themed shopping area. Beautiful stalls from various bakeries, organic food suppliers, healthy food stalls, and live food counters made for a beautiful market place. Live music entertainment, dance shows and tastings offered by various pop-ups made for a very festive spirit that was enjoyed by everyone.

“The festival isn’t just about eating – it’s about the entire experience while strolling the grounds of Nehru Park. One can smell the amazing aromas, enjoy live entertainment, watch live cooking and walk through an array of products at the food market. We are also glad to have collaborated with NDMC marking their centenary year celebrations.” Said, Aditi Kapoor, Founder & Director, Palate Fest Pvt. Ltd.


Another attracting at the Palate fest were the Demo classes by renowned chefs from across the city and many internationally acclaimed chefs as well. In these demo classes, you can witness Michelin-starred chefs showing off their cooking skills live.

“Each year we will showcase a few countries through its embassy in India highlighting the food, drinks, entertainment etc. and so far the French, Spanish and Mexican embassy have shown their interest for the event. We wish to serve every foodie’s fantasy to get up close and personal with a number of food luminaries and it will also be a great platform for interaction, understanding, business generation and exchange of ideas for the participants.” Said, Ruchi Sibal, Founder & Director, Palate Fest Pvt. This Fest would not have been possible without the efforts of the government thorough the NDMC, to lend out 20% of Nehru Park for the Palate Fest.
