Nana Patekar, who has always helped the farmers and their families, is recently campaigning to help the drought stricken farmers in Maharashtra and preventing farmers suicides.
The actor has always believed in speaking his mind, and is not afraid of hurting others with his honest opinions. As now he came up with a strong statement about Pratyusha Banerjee.
The actor is upset with media’s over sensationalizing the news of her death, as he feels there are other national topics which need to be addressed and one of them is the rights of farmers.
In an interview to a news channel, Nana Patekar said, “The girl (Pratyusha) dying was most unfortunate. But it is being highlighted day after day in the media. What about farmers who kill themselves? Are their lives not worth anything?”
Ever since the actress has committed suicide, everyone has an opinion about her and there are celebrities hogging on to limelight while claiming that they knew the truth.
On the other hand, Nana Patekar feels that the issue was getting unnecessary limelight, whereas the death of farmers and drought in Maharashtra is always ignored as it is a more sensible issue to be addressed.
