Bhartiya Janta Party is all set to form the government in Haryana, as they attained majority votes in the recent elections conducted. But the party has to look for an alliance in Maharashtra. The party has fallen short of majority in the 288 –seat state assembly. BJP secured 47 seats in Haryana out of 90 available. Whereas if we look at how the other parties fared, congress has managed to secure 15 seats and INLD has secured 19 seats.

In Maharashtra BJP has secured 122 seats, congress 42 and NCP with 41 seats.

One thing that results of both states showed was total annihilation of the ruling party Congress. In Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda accepted his defeat after his party fell to 14 seats. If we talk about the results of 2009 the figure was 40. After the results it is quiet visible that Modi wave has worked for BJP yet again.

 

After the declaration of results Rahul Gandhi congratulated Prime Minister NarendraModi for his success. He further added that Congress accepts people’s verdict and they would work hard to earn people’s confidence back.

 

As BJP party doesn’t hold majority in Maharashtra, NCP would provide external support to the party to form government in the state. According to NCP they would support BJP for the stability and development of Maharashtra.

 

India’s former ruling party congress hasfaced its worst defeat in the state elections as well.Following the results, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress committee Chief Manikrao Thakre has announced his resignation.

 

According to the latest update, BJP’s president Amit Shah gave all the credit to the PM for their victory in the elections.

On the other hand Congress is accepting their defeat and is welcoming the decision of the people of Haryana and Maharashtra.

 

After watching theconstant defeat of congress in all the elections this year, all we can say is that the era of congress has come to an end. Modi wave has really worked for BJP. The party has now emerged as the single most powerful party in the country. People of the country have really voted for change in these elections. Not only in Lok Sabha BJP has also proved themselves in the Vidhan Sabha Elections.
