Customers will not get reimbursed for call drops :SC calls TRAI order ‘Arbitrary’

Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled out an order, which has killed the order of  TRAI that had asked telecom operators to give compensation to its customers for the call drops.

Now one would not be reimbursed for the call drop. The apex court said that the TRAI order was unreasonable, arbitrary and non- transparent. Notably, the TRAI was challenged by the telecom operators stating that connectivity is affected by various factors,which are beyond their control.

Well, this a big relief given to the Telecom Operators, who were stipulated to compensate Rs.1 per call drop, limited to three such calls a day.
