The personnels of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two former directors of a private company which were based in Kolkata, in an ongoing investigation relating to the chit fund case, on Friday.

In an official statement, the CBI said that it was alleged that the accused with others, in a criminal conspiracy, had illegally collected Rs. 565 crore (approximately) from a poor investors after false promising them high returns without any permission from the regulatory bodies.
The CBI stated that in the implementation of that fact, the accused apparently committed cheating and criminal misappropriation of the public money.
