Start-up India initiative was launched on 16th January 2016. It consists of 19 Action Points that act as a guiding document for the initiative. Since its inception, 19,351 Startups across the country have been recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). Modi government is making best efforts to encourage the startup ecosystem in the country.
