The orbiting Solar Dynamics Observatory of Nasa has figured out a coronal hole (a gap) in the Sun’s outer layer.
The size of the hole is of 50 Earths and is releasing an extra fast solar wind in Earth’s direction.
According to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration officials, as the coronal hole continues it slow march westward on Sun’s surface, solar winds on Earth will stay strong.
