Shekhawati region to be strengthened to attract tourism

The Shekhawati area is known as ‘World Capital of Wall Painting’.


 

Roli Singh, Principal Resident Commissioner of Rajasthan in New Delhi said, ” Rajasthan Government is committed to strengthening the Shekhawati region of the state in terms of tourism. For this, the state government has sent proposals worth Rs 90 crore to the Central Government to develop the ‘Shekhawati Tourism Circuit’.

Roli Singh was speaking in a press conference at the Press Club of India, New Delhi, organized for the promotion of the upcoming ‘ Vedaranya Heritage and Healing Festival ‘ at Ramgarh Shekhawati, Rajasthan from 12th to 15th February 2021 under the joint aegis of the Government of Rajasthan and Shruti Foundation.

 

Havelis in the regions are examples of Rajasthan’s art and culture

She said that Ramgarh Shekhawati in the Sikar district is famous in the country and the world for the Havelis made by ‘Seths’ of there. The Shekhawati area is known as ‘World Capital of Wall Painting’. The Havelis made by the Seths of that era in this region are the living example of Rajasthan’s art and culture. She said that this festival will help to conserve and preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the Shekhawati region.

On this occasion, Shruti Foundation’s founder Shruti Poddar said, ” Shruti Foundation has been organizing this festival since the year 2016 in Ramgarh Shekhawati in association with the state government. The Foundation is continuously working to promote the art and the historical heritage of the region through this festival. The foundation is also doing many works to protect the economic and health wellness of local artists.”

Live presentation of art and craft during Diwali

Shruti further said that through this anniversary festival, Ramgarh Shekhawati has got a new recognition in the world of Havelis architecture, cultural heritage. She said that During this festival, the world famous artists of Rajasthani culture will make a live presentation of their art and craft.

On this occasion, producer-director Rama Pandey appealed to come to the upcoming festival and said, “Thana Bulawae Tharon Ramgarh and appealed people to come and visit this wonderful festival. “

Padam Shri Dr. Shobhana Narayan and INTEC National President Major General L.K. Gupta were also present in the program.
