Why ‘SEX’ is still a taboo in India?

Well, sex education has become important part of our lives but then people still consider it as a taboo. Sex before marriage, sex after marriage, virginity, tradition, love, marriage, sexuality aren’t we tired of hearing those same topics for years!

Parents still not allow us to talk about it openly as they considered it as a ‘’bad

‘’ thing. In extreme cases, it’s also referred to as cheap and vulgar. But as soon as the sex discussions shift to marriage wise, it’s considered as pure and holy. Why people? Don’t you think we have to change ourselves?

Why sex is still a taboo in India

As both the genders are educated, experienced, independent, career oriented, modern, fast growing. Then why is sex still a taboo? It has been a debatable topic since years to understand why sex outside marriage is still regarded as a taboo.

One should know it that sexual desire is among one the basic desires. Sexual need is just like the need for food or water it is a primary need.

So why can’t the society legalize pre-marital sex? There are still many homes where the sex word should never be uttered. Our society completely disapproves of ‘’making out, kissing’’ situations whereas in foreign countries such as USA and in some part of Europe it’s a completely normal behavior.

It’s high time to break the stereotypes of the society!
