What you should do while adding your crush on Facebook?

1. Check his or her profile

You can check their profile, there is no harm in this. And this not a sign of stalking. There is absolutely no harm in checking out his or her profile. In fact, it is something you should definitely do. Try to know about that person, so that you will learn about their likes and dislikes.

2. Add him or her

Put your ego aside, there is nothing wrong in sending him or her a friend request. Don’t give it a thought. We agree that it is against the classic dating norm where the guy is supposed to make the first move, it’s actually pretty healthy for the girl to make the first move. Especially, if you have known him for a while, go ahead and click ‘Add Friend’! Initiate a conversation.

3. Like and comment on his or her post

As much as you can like their post, do it. It will show how much you are interested in them.
This is the kind of social media attention that everyone wants. When you post something witty you want people to like it. So does he or she. You liking or commenting on his or her posts is not being creepy or clingy. It’s just you like them.

4. Initiate a conversation

You can start a conversation. It’s absolutely fine. If you have added him, there is nothing that should stop you from sending him a simple ‘Hi, how are you doing?’ direct message. Don’t think he or she will feel awkward. It’s okay, it’s just a conversation.

5. Read their post

As we mentioned above try to know them, so for that you have to go through their posts. You want to know what your crush thinks about the world so yes, keep up with his status updates and what he shares. This way, you will actually know whether the two of you share the same wavelength or not.

What you should not do:

So far, we have discussed what points you should consider before adding your crush on Facebook. Now, here are some points you should not do while adding your crush on Facebook.

1. Don’t stalk them

It’s worst thing, don’t stalk your crush it can make them uncomfortable. Draw a fine line between checking out his profile and stalking him. It is considered stalking if you are on any post of his that’s older than a couple of months. In that case, stop. Breathe. And return to the real world.

2. Immediately stop stalking the people to whom your crush interacts.

Treat your crush as crush only. Don’t act like a crazy? Who your crush talks to is simply none of your business. Whether it’s a girl or a guy, you do not need to feel jealous. So do not end up on their profile, trying to figure out a relationship between your crush and that person.

3. Don’t take over his page

Stop giving too importance to your crush. However, you don’t want your face to permanently be there in his notifications or feed. It gets kind of tiring to be seen all the time. Also, do not keep tagging him in memes and posts because that definitely seems creepy and clingy!

4. Stop messaging all the time

Don’t message your crush all the time. It can be really disturbing. However, do not start messaging him or her non-stop. Again, there is nothing wrong with starting a conversation but know when to stop. If he or she does not reply, just cut off yourself there. However, even if he or she does reply, do not go overboard.
