2) Essential oil steam

Inhale the steam of hot water. Repeat for 2-3 times a day for a chronic dry nose. This remedy is used since ages by our ancestors. You can even use a water vaporizer instead of a pot and gas. 3) Aloe vera and almond oil mix

4) Drink a lot of water

This one might sound simple but it is extremely effective. If the reason for dryness is dehydration then drinking water can treat it. Drink 2 litres of water every day. The human body is made up of 60% water. We need to replenish water in our body. Avoid acidic drinks and sodas as it can dehydrate your body. Drink water based flavoured drinks or juices, if you crave a sweet drink.

5) Mustard oil

This item is readily available in an Indian household. So run up to the kitchen shelf and take some mustard oil when your nose feels dry. Apply few drops over the affected area. It also fights cold and flu as a bonus. It has a strong warming effect. It relieves blockage and helps in clearing the nasal passage. It is also naturally anti-microbial which fights infection.

6) Salt water

Make salt water at home which has effects equal to nasal sprays but without the side effects. Mix some salt with water and pour it into a spray bottle. Blow it out after 10 seconds. Its use can help your nose get rid of thick mucus and debris.
