Social media giant, Facebook has recently activated its safety check feature in Chennai, which has witnessed heaviest rainfall of the century. Facebook is the widely used social medium in India; the feature will allow people to mark themselves safe from floods.
The user has to just click yes then his or her friends will automatically get the notification about their well being.
Apart from Facebook, Google has also posted a link on its homepage with an name called ‘Resources for the Chennai Floods’ through which people can know about all relief camps and update about the people’s situation in the city.
