Equal over Rich, Love over Care, here is why it is important to marry your equal?

Date the equal, marry the equal to live with equality

We all must have some expectations from the person we are to date or the person we are to marry. After all, you see in them, the companion who would be there for you, with you whenever you would be needing. In that companion, you see your soulmate and your biggest supporter. And for this person, you must be having a list of questions, thoughts, and points to validate consciously or subconsciously, for that partner. Among those questions, how strongly do you look for only settling for a person who is your equal?

“Marriage equality is about more than just marriage. It’s about something greater. It’s about acceptance.”

What equality means here?

Equality here can mean anything as simple as having your partner be on the same page as you are. It can be in terms of power, ideas, financial status, work culture, and beliefs. Here, it is really not important to have someone who is with the same occupation or same behaviour, but there should be a collision of thoughts. Two people can’t be the same but the idea of equality is that they become compatible by contributing equally to everything.

In Simpler words,

YOUR PARTNER MAYBE LOVING, GENTLE, WELL SETTLED, KIND, AND PERFECT FOR ANYONE TO MARRY. AND MAYBE THEY ARE PERFECT FOR YOU TOO BUT ARE THEY EQUAL TO YOU? DO YOU CONSIDER MATCHING WITH AN EQUAL AS MUCH AS YOU CONSIDER THE OTHER FACTORS? IF NOT, THEN HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BE PRIORITISING IT.

marriage equality

1. You respect each other

If you both are equal in every term, you will respect each other, value each other, and will not have a sense of responsibility or dependency on the other person. If it is another way around, and you both are not equal, there might be some chance that any of you will see the other as a burden, or maybe the superior one has a sense of oppression.

2. You fight Fair

IF you are equal, and you end up being in a fight, you both will fight fair. None of you will have an inferiority complex and hence, there will be an equal opportunity for you both to be heard. Your argument for any fight will be to find a solution and not will over each other and that is what matters in a relationship.

3. You enjoy their win as much as yours without competition

When you are equal, there won’t really be any ego clashes among you. You will enjoy each other’s victory and support each other in their bad times. Equality in the relationship allows each other to express whenever they wish to, and hence,

4. You can leave your insecurities aside

When you are equal, you are balanced, with and by each other. In such a case, the external factors and insecurities don’t hit. You remain to be easy and happen not to have any trust issue with your partner which is as important as it can be for any relationship to suffice for long.

5. You can be mindful of commitments

When you are equal, you will be mindful of the commitments, not just for yourself but for your partner too. There will be a sense in you that you are not settling for anything lesser than yourself. You will commit what you can do, you won’t be in a place where you would like to be liked, expected to please someone’s expectations etc, and hence, you need a relationship that is equal from both the ends.
